![]() ![]() The problem of the headset shutting off randomly appears frequently once it starts, and makes Skype calls and other things nearly impossible.Īlso, I sometimes receive a message after the headset is disconnected saying that the USB hub has exceeded the power limit or something of the sort. I know that the two other USB ports work fine as other devices can connect. I've recently discovered that two of my front USB ports won't work for that problem, and only my USB 3.0 port will work for the reset. Usually I just need to unplug my headset from the port and then plug it back in for the headset to start working again, however sometimes that doesn't work, and sometimes when it does, the sound resets to a much higher volume then it was at. To explain the common scenario, I will be doing something on my computer, like listening to music, or talking in a Skype call, and then my headset will suddenly give a fairly loud click, and all sound will cease, with my mic disabling as well. I'm fairly certain this is a problem with the headset itself, as other USB devices don't get randomly disconnected from my computer. And by disconnecting, I mean it stops playing whatever sound it's receiving and the mic stops working. So for a couple months now, my headset has been disconnecting randomly from my computer. ![]()
